Irish Moss
Irish Moss, organic from Brittany-France. Whole and dehydrated leaves.
Naturally rich in carrageenan, it is recommended for its thickening effect, providing texture in sauces, puddings, plant-based milks, and mousses.
With a pink-red color, firm and crunchy texture, and mild flavor, it is a mucilaginous food that promotes intestinal health.
Ideal for thickening sauces, juices, plant-based milks, yogurts, desserts, or broths. It can also be used to bind risottos or simply in salads. To rehydrate, soak in water for 5 minutes. If dry, cook for 30 minutes. To thicken, soak a few leaves in a liter of liquid for several hours.
5 g of dehydrated seaweed can be equivalent to up to 50 g of fresh seaweed. Seaweeds are naturally rich in iodine and salty.
